Frequently asked questions
Armored Alliance is a permissionless information trading exchange. These answers cover how markets work, how creators earn, and how outcomes are verified.
What is Armored Alliance?
Armored Alliance is a permissionless information trading exchange. Anyone can create a market on a question they care about, and anyone can trade on the implied probability. Prices move as traders buy and sell, so the market is a live forecast — not a poll, and not a locked position you cannot exit. Browse live markets or create your own.
How do Market Creators make money?
Creators earn through a revenue-share on activity in their market. When you seed a liquidity pool, you stand as the first market maker. As others trade against that pool, a percentage of the trading fees generated by the pool is credited to you as creator yield. You can claim those earnings from your account. Higher-volume, well-seeded markets typically produce more creator revenue because more trading happens in the pool.
How are markets resolved?
Most new markets settle from automated API oracles so the outcome is verified against a public data source, not a human call. Connected oracles include YouTube, Twitch, Kick, news volume (NewsAPI.org), crypto prices (CoinGecko), Spotify, and sports scores (TheSportsDB). After the resolution deadline, the engine compares the live metric to the threshold you set and settles YES or NO. Creators and the community can still use other resolution paths on markets that are not API-automated — for example when a question needs a documented source or a creator ruling — but API-connected markets are the default for objective, checkable outcomes.
Is this an exchange or a book?
Armored Alliance is a financial exchange with an automated market maker, not a book. Each contract is priced continuously from $0.01 to $0.99 as traders buy and sell YES/NO shares against the pool. You can enter a position and sell it back to the pool before settlement. Protocol revenue is swap fees on volume, not taking the other side of your trade.
How does play-money work right now?
During this initial release, everyone trades with free virtual points (Armor). New accounts receive a starting balance so you can test strategies, seed pools, and earn creator incentives without putting real money at risk. Play-money markets still have real prices, real fees, and real creator yield — they just settle in Armor, not cash.
How does market liquidity work?
Each market is backed by an automated market maker (AMM) pool. When you create a market you seed that pool with liquidity. Traders buy and sell against the pool instead of waiting for a matching order. The pool quotes a continuous price; larger trades move the price more. Trading fees collected in the pool are split: a share goes to the market creator as revenue-share, and the remainder supports the platform. Your seed stays in the pool so others can trade against you until the market resolves.
